Based around the highly successful Teammachine, the SLR from BMC combines a fast carbon frame with a state of the art wireless groupset to provide a rapid and engaging ride. Stiffness, weight, compliance and aerodynamics are all balanced by the ACE+ software used to develop the frame’s carbon layup, putting more or less material where it’s needed to achieve the desired characteristics. This results in a bike that is fast enough for pro-level racing but also comfortable enough for long rides too. The bike’s aerodynamic credentials are further improved by the integrated cockpit system and the hidden seatpost clamp. Power transfer has been improved by widening the bottom bracket area whilst the very neat Stealth Dropout Design on both frame and fork keeps the thru-axle as hidden as possible.
